My go to sock printing method
Step 1. Pick the right socks.
Choose Sublimation Polyester socks.
Avoid thick cotton sports socks.
They will disappoint you like a flat cooldrink.
Step 2. Print your design mirrored.
Use sublimation paper.
Use sublimation ink.
Normal ink will not do the job.
Step 3. Pre press the socks.
5 to 10 seconds.
This removes moisture and wrinkles.
Moisture is the villain.
It makes ghosting.
Ghosting is when your design gets a spooky twin.
Step 4. Use a pressing pillow or a sock jig.
This helps seams not mess with your print.
Seams love ruining straight lines.
Seams are little chaos noodles.
Step 5. Tape the design down.
Heat tape is your friend.
If your paper shifts, your design shifts.
Then your logo looks drunk.
Step 6. Press with firm even pressure.
Most socks press well at around 180 to 200 C.
